Card Holder

I know this isn't a new idea by any means, but it is the first time I decided to do it.  I love displaying all of the beautiful cards, but as you all know that is a hard task.  So this year I thought I would try taking a normal picture, covering it with wrapping paper and then taping the cards to it.  I first started out by just wanting the wrapped frame, to look like a gift, and as my ideas tend to do, the idea grew as I was hanging it on the wall.  So that's how it became a card holder.  So simple, even I can do it.

First I found a frame big enough.

Took some nice wrapping paper that I order from my grandsons school. Rehung by my tree.

Now I can enjoy all of the pretty sparkles from the beautiful cards. 

Family Photo

There is a family photo on the table,
bringing back such fond memories.
If I could talk to that photo on the table,
it would bring you all a little closer to thee.
How I wish I could turn back the pages,
and have those moments to share once more.
I would look at that photo on the table,
and know that life has so much more.
So I know I can't change that picture,
the memories will stay precious to me,
everytime I see that picture on the table,
I will smile and know you are still with me.
