Granola Bars (Homemade)

This is my own recipe, unless there is one out there like it, but after talking to a friend about making her own, I decided to make my own and put in things I thought would go together.  They turned out great!  You can do it your way.  I didn't measure anything, so next time I make them I hope they turn out the same, the are nice and moist.  So here goes:

In my food processor I put 2 cups of oatmeal, 3 heaping tsp of margarine (or butter), a sprinkle of chia, sprinkle of flax, cinnamon. start the food processor and let it run while you are adding things.  Then add some chocolate (either chips or chunks), I used chips, then coconut (I just poured some in), sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries.  I didn't measure anything, I just poured a little of each.  How easy is that.  Stop food processor when it is all combined.

In a separate bowl, pour about 250 g of egg white, a splash of vanilla and splenda (or real sugar, if you like).  Whisk together.

Combine the two together.  Just mix with a spoon.  Pour on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.  Carefully spread out with spoon.  Cook 275 degrees for 1 hr.  Let cool a few minutes and use a pizza cutter to cut into bars.  Store in a sealed container.  I am very pleased with the turnout!
