Fall Turns Into Winter In Nova Scotia

We have enjoyed a pretty decent summer here in Nova Scotia.  A couple of weeks ago we got to mow the lawn for one last time, now we have a few centimeters of snow on the ground.  So on with the snow tires and getting everything ready for the winter months to come.  Today is my daughters 30th birthday!  Believe it or not, it is hard to believe for me.  We had a celebration on the weekend for her and my mom who turned 84 yesterday.  Family means everything and I put together a little birthday celebration for them on Sunday.  With my famous mexican pizza dip, cinnabon mini buns (which I discovered at Giant Tiger of all places).  And to top it off we had our famous ice-cream cake from Mantua, it just can't be beat.  I also did a dvd for my daughter.  I wish I could put it on here but couldn't figure it out.  I had my tree all up and decorated and also all of my house decorations up.  I see it as the beginning of the holiday season, let it began with a party!  I am trying to be organized this year as from the advice of follow blogger Angie over at Echoes of Laughter.  Check her out she has an amazing blog, far superior to mine and I love her advice, even though I should be wrapping or something today but here I am, haha, sorry, I do my best.  It has been a great year, my husband is back to work and loves every minute of it.  As you get older you sure appreciate things in a different way as to when you were younger.  My family is doing great.  Jen who turns 30 today, haha, is busy raising her family and is a very busy mom to two very active boys.  Kim is back in University, she is going to be a teacher and so far is loving it in the school getting to teach a class.  Tyler has a new and exciting job in the City, if he were here he would get my video on, haha.  I am busy as usual, the past three months have been an extreme challenge for me with IBD, but like a friend always says to me "This too shall pass" and I keep on keeping on.  I go for my scope in Dec, maybe I will blog about it or maybe I won't.  If I do it is not for any pity, it is for someone else out there that is facing something and wants to know what to expect, so we will see what I do on that one.  I am focused on my family and the Christmas season, and I am so looking forward to it.  Feels nice to get a little blogging done!  I have been away too long!  Enjoy the upcoming winter months, because they are coming whether we like it or not, so just go with it and just like that it will be spring :)

Their birthdays are so close, why not celebrate together.

My family, love them to pieces.

The birthday girls, hope you both enjoyed your day.
