Fall In Nova Scotia

As summer has come to a close, so has the hot temperatures, open camp fires, swimming at the local beaches.  But there is still so much to enjoy here in Nova Scotia as we have entered fall.  The thing I love the most is the beautiful fall colors, and you don't have to go far to find some beauty to enjoy.  We get nice sunny days, cool nights.  My least favorite things is it gets dark very early, but even that is okay.  The farm markets are busy with the apple harvest and full of pumpkins.  We have quite a few farm markets, and they are wonderful to go and get fresh produce anytime you like.  There are Harvest Festivals, corn mazes, haunted houses.  So there is no need to be bored, there is plenty of opportunity to keep busy doing something.  Thought I would share some of the fall beauty.  So here goes:

The beauty is at its peak.

Every tree is a different color.

I wish it would last longer, but they will soon be bare for the winter to come.

One of the fall festivals, The Pumpkin Regatta in Windsor.  It is quite a big event and yes those are giant pumpkins they are in.  They pick a pumpkin, carve it out, decorate it, then paddle it across the lake.

There are a bunch of birds in the middle of this picture.  They are gathering to head to a warmer climite for winter.

The water is cold, the air is crisp and the colors are beautiful.  Got to love it.
