Crockpot Steak

I seen this recipe and decided to make it today and I am so glad I did, it turned out fantastic!  It is so hard to make a good steak and my crockpot did it all for me.  So here goes:  All it requires is:

1 Round Steak (I used sirloin tip, because it was on sale)
2 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope of onion soup mix

I browned my steak first, just enough to brown the outside, it didn't say to do that but I like to do that.  Then I cut it in serving size pieces, not bite size, but serving size.  Put it in the crockpot, dump the 2 cans of soup on top, I smoothed it around with a spoon and dumped the onion soup mix on top of that.  It's just that simple.  I cooked it on low for it says for 6 to 8 hours.  I cooked mine for 7 hrs 40 minutes.  I could have added potatoes and carrots, but decided to do that separately.  And the gravy it made was the best and plenty of it for the steak and my husbands potatoes.  So like Rachael Ray would say, "This is whats for dinner tonight!"

They had a good buy on steak at Sobeys this week.  My favorite grocery store.

2 cans of mushroom soup

1 pkg of the onion soup mix.  They had a buy 1 get 1 special today so I took advantage of that.

Crockpots make life so easy.

Making something new is always scary, I don't like to waste food.

Looking pretty good.

Okay, set and go about my day, how easy is that!

I looked at it and wondered how much gravy was in there, and to my surprise there was plenty!

I had to get a pic of both, hubby likes gravy on everything.

I am more a veggie girl minus the potatoes.  I didn't even have to use a knife it was that tender!  Yummy.  I give it a 10 for sure.  So what was for your supper tonight?  And I think I will have a little treat tonight and make it a bowl of orange pineapple ice cream.

And thanks to Echoes of Laughter  blog for the suggestion of creating a menu and a list.  Worked out very well.
