October Flooding

We always get our fall rains, every fall without fail we get our days of rain.  I always tell my husband, "If the wood isn't in the basement before the end of Sept, it could be to late", and I am usually right.  Today we had a system move through where we had anywhere from 50 to 100 ml of rain across the province.  And believe me it doesn't take much to cause the flooding.  Especially where we have the highest tides in the world, at high tide it can even be worse.  I had to go get a few pictures today of it all.

This is a farm yard, in the Valley

I don't think anyone will want to play on the slide today.

A few times a year the Gaspereau River will overflow.

The colors are still amazing.  Rain or no rain.

Normally the river doesn't go right of the trees in the centre.

This was coming off of the Mountain.

This is normally a back lawn, but not when she floods.

The orchards are flooded also.

This whole farm yard is flooded.

This is at our local damn, and normally you don't see much water coming down over that side bank, the today it was amazing.

The spillway at our local lake was also overflowing.

Normally it is pretty calm through here.

But  it is still pretty, :)
